With VEVA Collect students and tutors can use the features built in the platform to share files, manage projects, collaborate and see how credits are assigned in the industry. Through using the platform’s in-built metadata field sets students can get comfortable with the standard metadata requirements used at every stage of the music industry today. VEVA Collect and UK Music member PPL recently announced a collaboration on metadata to improve accuracy of credits and royalty payments. Story can be seen here. VEVA is working with MAP partners to help you to utilise the resource. SHOUT4 are revenue sharing (RevShare) specialists who have built a software platform for individuals in the music industry needing to create revenue sharing legally binding deals. For the first time, independent music professionals can protect their work, share in the revenues from their work and reward people who support their work, all from one easy-to-use transparent platform. The platform is ideal to use in education for both tutors for teaching about contracts, revenue streams and rights-ownership; and students who can understand the power of RevShare deals in protecting their work. The Executive Lunches offer MAP academics the opportunity to meet with the CEOs of UK Music members and discuss pertinent issues. Following a break during 2020, these will return to the schedule as soon as is feasible.
